We’re officially in the thick of autumn, so I’ve traded in my summer staples (I’ll miss you, nude lipgloss!) for my fall beauty routine. Here are four beauty finds our team is wearing right now, and please let us know what you would add…
Navy nails. We first wrote about navy nails 14 years ago, and they’re back! Harper’s Bazaar describes navy nails as “a subtle statement-maker,” and I think they’re a fun nod to the preppy style of the season (think: blazers, turtlenecks, and loafers). This inky blue polish looks like a gel manicure. (Joanna also swears by their cherry red polish and at-home kit, which air-dries in five minutes.)
Brown eyeshadow. Where do you stand on eyeshadow? I don’t use it every day, but I love wearing it on date nights and to holiday parties. “It’s smoky-eye fall,” says Gabby Whiten, pictured above. Even just a swipe of brown adds definition to my eyes. This cream shadow blends easily and looks gorgeous on its own.
Burgundy lipstick. Every fall, I like to swipe on this deep berry shade. It’s sultry and sophisticated and punches up any outfit — I’ve worn it to meetings at school, and my friends always ask about it. The formula is creamy but super pigmented, so it lasts for hours, even through a coffee date. Bonus: The color really pops in holiday photos.
Blow dry brush. “For YEARS, my friends raved about those all-in-one hair tools that make it look like you just walked out of a salon,” says our partnerships director Alison. “I was skeptical at first, but after hearing so many good reviews, I finally bought one a few months ago and I swear it’s changed my life. Now I get compliments on my hair all the time — people even stop me on the street to say how pretty it is. The wildest part is that the process is foolproof.
